IAS Foundation Training Course

The IAS Foundation Course is designed to strengthen Integrated Antimicrobial Stewardship (IAS) practices across healthcare institutions in India.

This course is designed for interns, residents, and faculty to build essential skills in:

  • Diagnostic Stewardship (DSP)
  • Infection Prevention Stewardship (ISP)
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship (ASP)

Modes of Course Delivery

🏥 Physical Mode (Local Institute)

4 half-day in-person sessions conducted by local SASPI faculty during WAAW or suitable time. Can be implemented by any SASPI-affiliated institute.

Steps for Course Implementation

  1. SASPI sends MoU & invitation to institute (CC to Director/Dean)
  2. MoU signed by institute and SASPI
  3. Collaborative course planning begins
  4. Course delivered in 4 half-days (14 hours)
  5. Institute manages logistics (venue, AV, materials)
  6. Evaluation conducted (≥75% for certification)
  7. Internal TOT training conducted post-course
  8. Content uploaded & shared with SASPI archive

💻 Virtual Mode

Conducted by SASPI at AIIMS Rishikesh. Launched on 14 April at AIIMS Rishikesh in collaboration with SASPI.

SASPI LMS

Participants can access online learning modules, quizzes, resources and certification through the LMS platform.
